Here are some of the proper texts—those that change with every Sunday or solemnity—and songs to be sung for this Mass:

Introit at the vigil: Today you will know that the Lord will come, and he will save us; and in the morning you will see his glory. (Cf. Exodus 16:6-7)

Introit at midnight, 8 a.m., & 10 a.m.: A child is born for us, and a son is given to us; his scepter of power rests upon his shoulder, and his name will be called Messenger of great counsel. (Cf. Isaiah 9:6)

Processional hymn: O Come, All Ye Faithful

Responsorial psalm:


Offertory at the vigil: Lift up, O gates, your lintels; reach up, you ancient portals, that the king of glory may come in. (Psalm 24:7)

Offertory at midnight, 8 a.m., & 10 a.m.: Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad before the face of the Lord because he comes. (Psalm 96:11a, 13a)

Communion at the vigil, midnight, & 10 a.m.: The Word became flesh, and we have seen his glory. (John 1:14)

Communion at 8 a.m.: All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God. (Isaiah 52:7-10)
